{"id":901,"date":"2011-02-12T18:26:22","date_gmt":"2011-02-12T23:26:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trolltuner.com\/?p=901"},"modified":"2011-10-17T10:00:51","modified_gmt":"2011-10-17T15:00:51","slug":"clutch-selection-ng9009-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/trolltuner.com\/?p=901","title":{"rendered":"Clutch Selection NG900\/9-3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This should help with clutch selection. \u00a0This is just a guide based on my actual experiences. \u00a0Ultimate life will depend on driving style, boost regulation and breakin given. \u00a0Should at least help most with clutch selection. \u00a0This is one place where overkill is not always the best idea. \u00a0Certainly not an absolute but way closer than the baloney from another clutch MFG, I&#8217;ll post those emails sometime.<\/p>\n<p>This applies to Stock Viggen pressure plate and Viggen disk or VIG plate and my custom disks by clutchnet. \u00a0The Twin is my Quartermaster 7.25&#8243; two disk. race setup like in the red vig and drag car. \u00a0 Just a bit of background on the capacity methodology. \u00a0 One example is the Stg1 combo, \u00a0We tested this to 400Ftlbs @wheel with no slip so gave it a rating of 350 at wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Stock Pressure plate (This includes Spec blue painted stock ones) should not be run past 7000rpm EVER, That means 6800 max since there is a 200 cushion in trionic. \u00a0The plate deflects considerably. \u00a0Running them over this is a great safety risk. \u00a0We experienced multiple dowel pin failure and plate explosion on the drag car as we found this out.
