{"id":990,"date":"2011-04-23T11:19:59","date_gmt":"2011-04-23T16:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trolltuner.com\/?p=990"},"modified":"2011-04-23T11:23:37","modified_gmt":"2011-04-23T16:23:37","slug":"eds-2-3-talladega-dyno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/trolltuner.com\/?p=990","title":{"rendered":"Eds 2.3 Talladega Dyno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/genuinesaab.com\/gallery\/Eds90023\/IMG_1920\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"thumbnail_3\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"IMG_1920\" src=\"http:\/\/genuinesaab.com\/gallery\/albums\/Eds90023\/IMG_1920.thumb.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1920\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>Last week Ed brought up his 2.3L 90o\u00a0Talladega for some fine tuning. \u00a0The mail tune I sent him for the 2.3 need a bit of help, it made decent power and ok mileage though. \u00a0Plus we found as always a handfull of interesting issues needing addressed before sorting the soft. \u00a0 Front and Rear O2s swapped lead to interesting adaption and faults. \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0Boost control valve stuck in BOOST \u00a0 not base boost. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t seen that before.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/genuinesaab.com\/gallery\/Eds90023\/IMG_0295\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"thumbnail_1\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"IMG_0295\" src=\"http:\/\/genuinesaab.com\/gallery\/albums\/Eds90023\/IMG_0295.thumb.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0295\" width=\"150\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a>Mainly it involved sorting the fuel, \u00a0mapping all the vacuum cells with the eddy current load of the dyno. \u00a0Makes it very quick, compared to fiddling about on the road for hours. \u00a0 Picked up a cheap 20&#8243; LCD and mounted it on the dyno lift arm. \u00a0Adjustable so it is right outside the window, Needed that 5 years ago. The dyno is controlled by a handheld box by the driver.<\/p>\n<p>The hardware is pretty common. Tubular Exh manifold, 18T 6cm, B234Swap, VIggen muffler, No resonator, 3in Downpipe and we made a custom intake pipe and wrapped it. \u00a0The old SP manifold was a bit close to the pump leaving little room for the intake pipe. \u00a0 \u00a0He has 308fronts, 300 rears and sticky tires on the powder coated fondmetals.<\/p>\n<p>We ened up with the torque lower \u00a0~325 than when it arrive but made another 10whp up top with still a conservative tune.
